To Dance Again - An Author's Review

This book is absolutely amazing. I, literally, couldn't put it down. In fact, I was up until well after midnight reading this little gem. I need to read more from this author, Aubrey Brandon.

The H is a bit gruff and is a bit wounded because of things that happened in his past, which makes him the character you want to help fix. He has a heart of gold when it comes to the h. I can pretty much see him as a giant teddy bear, once you get past the stern exterior. I have to admit that, even I, fell in love with his character.

The h is an injured dancer who is waitressing at a big named restaurant in NYC. I feel her pain, I really do. I've been in her spot (not with dance but with music). In fact, without her dancing, she would never have met the H of the story. She is a delight on the page and I could relate to her character.

There is one thing I would've liked to see: some more back story. As you read the story, you get a glimpse into the character's history. I would've like to see more but it is not a distraction to the book. Just my personal preference.

Overall, the book was fast paced and a page turner. The author did an amazing job of developing the characters so that they would seem like your best friend (and her sometimes pretty grumpy boyfriend...ha ha ha!) on the page. I give this book a 5-star review.
